My purpose was to visually convey my personality and create my very own brand as a graphic designer. I consider myself to be vibrant, excited, and curious. This is what I wanted to show off!

I wanted a dynamic logo that moved despite being 2D. This is the reasoning behind the typography, handwritten combination of my initials ‘L’ and ‘R’, and gradient variation. The star symbolizes dreams, imagination, hope, and direction, as I begin my graphic design career.

IDEATION

COLOR PALETTE

Rejected logo idea because it was too busy.

What’s a better way to start identifying yourself than by using your favorite colors? It has been a staple in the process of getting to know each other for years, so that’s what I did.

The gradient logo was chosen to be the front, meant to be printed with a foil accent. The sides being cut off were purposeful, symbolizing an ‘out-of-the-box’ concept and accomplishing this goal of perceived movement. There’s obviously more to the logo, but the viewer is meant to fill in that blank. The back side is a vertical design, forcing the viewer to interact with it in another way. When turned, it provides all my contact information as well as a QR code to easily access this website.
